Molnlycke Mepilex® Border Flex Lite 4 X 5cm

Mepilex Border Flex Lite is a thin, highly conformable, self-adherent and absorbent dressing that maintains a moist wound environment. The waterproof outer layer protects the wound from dirt and bacteria. The dressing has a Safetac® wound contact layer that is a unique adhesive technology. It minimises pain to patients and trauma to wounds and the surrounding skin at dressing removal.

Mepilex Border Flex Lite can be used by lay persons under supervision of health care professionals.1. Cleanse the wound in accordance with clinical practice.2. Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.3. Select an appropriate dressing size. The wound pad should cover the dry surrounding skin by at least 1–2 cm in order to protect the surrounding skin from maceration and to affix the dressing securely.4. Remove the first release film and apply the adherent side to the wound.5. Remove the remaining release film(s) and smooth down the dressing on the skin. Do not stretch. The dressing change interval may be several days. Change the dressing before it is fully saturated, at signs of leakage, or as indicated by clinical practice.• Mepilex Border Flex Lite can be used under compression bandaging.• Mepilex Border Flex Lite can be used in combination with gels. Disposal should be handled according to local environmental procedures.
